Why yes that is a Lord of the Rings picture up there, and yes I do enjoy the Lord of the Rings series in both its book and its movie format. Though it's been some time sense I haven't read the books so I should probably do that. Anyway's that is all irrelevant the important part of this the artist. Jenny Dolfen, a beautifully talented artist with flair and style. Everybody wants the new hip modern look, to be at the forefront of cutting edge design so for me seeing an artist with such an organic and natural feel is truly a treat. Although she does work with the computer from time to time even her digital work has a more natural and traditional feel. To me some of her work is reminiscent of the art nouveau which is a pleasure to see as I only know of a few artists who mange to cooperate the style into work and have it feel natural and beautiful.

Dolfen is also an absolute sweet heart for having several tutorials on her Deviantart page helping those who wish to follow in her footsetps. Her style is unique and stands out wile avoiding the pit falls of being trendy or dated and for that I applaud her. Qinni

Qinni

Well so much for my attempt at writing everyday, oh well you win some you lose some. At the very least you know I'm trying! Moving on, todays artist is the talented Qinni who's work stretches the imagination and holds infinite folds of inspiration. I find her work to be most pleasant not only in it's detail and abstract feelings but also in it's vibrancy and emotion. As it stands I have nearly all of her work saved so as to cycle every few minutes as my computers background! Might I suggest the same for you?

Well regardless of weather or not you take me up on the brilliant idea of looking at her work every day you can not deny the level of depth that can be found in her work. I know everyone interprets art differently and none of them may be what the artist was aiming for. To me her piece with the cat and the koi fish (I think it's a koi?) relates how cats have nine lives and how such time that can be found in a life can not be caught like some creature of prey but understood and appreciated and cherished in ones own mind.

P.S. Might I encourage you to view her work in it's largest form, there are many hidden details that are hard to see at this size. (Such as strawberry clouds)

Johannes Voß

Now let us see who is up for todays inspection, oh look it's Johannes Voß. He has some... uhm interesting pieces in his gallery that is for sure. Like his one peice "Raupture - for Alex" I'd link it but it's defiantly more then a PG-13 rating I would think. Though it does shore great anatomy and lighting. But for the rest of his gallery which is a little more PG I find absolutely exquisite. Detail lighting anatomy it's all beautiful and inspiring in it's detail and accuracy but more important then that to me is the content. If you want a look at anatomy studies of every kind I would suggest downloading some of his studies, Johannes has kindly scanned pages and pages and pages of them for others to look at, learn from and perhaps use as reference, they can be found [here].

Not only is his work visually appealing but many of them are fun and lighthearted such as his war picture for his friend that has smilie and frowny faces for good and bad guys [Buibui Attack - for Jana] some are lighthearted and fun while others show mystery and depth. I have a feeling that no matter who you are you can find several interpretations in his works, such as his one piece "Inner Universe". Johannes is also an excellent example of an artist who works well together, there are several pieces in his gallery that are made in collaboration with other artists, many of which seem to be his friends in real life. It's nice to know that people with different styles and perspectives are able to come together to create something beautiful.

Vitaly S. Alexius

Wow, just wow. That's all I can say for todays artist, Vitaly S. Alexius, perhaps one of the most talented artist I know of his work has a style and a flair that is truly all his own. For those you love the apocalypse  his work is a must see, as the majority of it is placed in a post apocalyptic world. The shining gem of his collection for such settings is his comic {Romantically Apocalyptic} which I think is summed up best by this critique:

      "This is wonderful. The entire series is well-done, and this is no exception.  The art style is lovely. It's well-executed, and drawn so well that it's kind of like photographs-turned-cartoon. It looks more like a posterized collection of pictures than a drawing. It's amazing. As for the content of the comic itself, this is, quite honestly, hilarious. It slowly introduces the reader into the world, showing a figure that suggests a militaristic situation, then showing a desolate, warzone-like setting. The setting is apocalyptic eye candy - which is shown by the fact that he's talking to a bit of it." ~ by AnnamaeTezuka

And she's right, such a level of realism is rare and almost never matched. Though Vitaly tries to help those of use who are less then skilled (or flat out suck) at art with two different tutorials which can be found {here} and {here} worth a look I think, especially if it would help make work so amazing. As for emotions, words are not needed to convey the meaning behind each piece. Full of so many levels of emotion and layers upon layers of meaning and possibilities.

Alessandra

Alessandra is the talented person of the day and lets say that it wont be hard to be a fan of work if your fans of other things as most of her gallery is all about the fandom! I don't know about you but I like fan based works (especially when couples in said work is what I ship) especially high quality fan work. Honestly there isn't enough of this kind or work around, there are thousands of fandom artists who make lots and lots of work... but it doesn't look all that hot. For her work it is defiantly quality over quantity which i think is the best of all mottos. For a look at how she makes some (one of her many styles) of work take a look [here].

I suppose I should apologize for failing to post everyday like was my intention and plan, it's just a little harder to find the energy and the time in my life then I thought it would be. Who knew working two jobs and going to college full time could be so time consuming (and energy draining) I sure didn't realize, at first it wasn't hard. Then I got a social life, this [here] really is the perfect way to explain it and apparently trying to do all three really is impossible.

Alector Fencer

Alector Fencer ought to be a magician with how magical her work is. Talk about reality, all of her work is top notch with amazing lighting, beautiful color pallets, and fantasy anatomy that is seems more realistic then many artist who only draw humans. I especially enjoy her anthro work, it is simply stunning in her marring of human and animal anatomy. Though perhaps my favorite body of work by her is her plant spirit, a guardian of the forest like I have never seen. A wolf that is more plant the animal and conveys a sense of wisdom, passion and ages long past so many artists strive to reach. I truly feel that he truly is one of the forest spirits captured momentarily by an inspired and insightful artist. Showing off another form of talent she has Alector also created little figurines of her Forest Spirit which were temporarily for sale, you can see what they [look] like if you want.

Alector is also working on a comic with a friend of hers. It can be found [here] and is titled the "Red Lantern", so far it seems to be shaping up to be a dark story with slavery as an already important and key feature. But the art work is absolutely beautiful and I personally can't wait to know what will happen next with the plot. I would highly suggest looking around her gallery to see all the beautiful work that she has made.

Stephan McGowan

I am skipping out of order today (yes there is a method to my madness for choosing which artists in which order) I bring you the lovely and multitalented Stephan McGowan. Talk about natural talent, I don't think I can even begin to label (or tag) all the different types of work he does. Really it seems like you think of it he has at least one piece (and often several more) of it in his gallery. I have been looking though it so much and it is just amazing! If every artists gallery was like his I would never be able to pull away from the computer screen (hard enough now as it is). His work shows so many different styles and levels of realism it is shocking. There are pieces that look almost like photographs (and there are a few that are) and others that are are the compete opposite. His sketches can hold as much fun and excitement as the full colored works and his attention to detail in that later makes me want to order a print and take a magnifying glass to it and see if there is such a thing as a flaw in any of his work and well having prints of his work would be amazing to.

And now on to the whimsical taste of his pieces, there is a free flowing magic in his works that I find inspiring, if I was a better analyst I might be able to find something wrong with his style or his lighting or his anatomy... but I'm not so from where I sit his work is perfect. Absolutely perfect. The best part, he's not only a great artist, photographer, animator (ok I haven't had time to look at her animations so I'm not sure), and designer but he also does some writing. I've been busy reading "The Art Theft Guide" by his, I think all people should be forced to read this cause it states very clearly what is and is not stealing.... which now that I think about it this may or may not fall into the category of theft... hmm I'll have to keep reading to see if it says anything about this... Aditya Ikranegara

Today's talented artist is Aditya Ikranegara, with his sketch digital paint style. Honestly I haven't come acroos another artist who's work looks like his, unlike most digital painters (and regular artist) Aditya does not refine every detail of his images. Instead leaving them rough and clear, showing every line and stroke of the image outside of a designated area. With almost all of his works there is a specific area where he refines and smoothes the image to be of the highest quality and then lets the rest stay in an almost sketch like state. Normally I would see these works and unfinished and not execptional but when Aditya does, the work feels not only complete but has a level of realism that goes beyond the visable. When looking at the works I feel as though he has captured not only the image but all the moevement and emotion with in it, as though this is not a picture but a window.

Such as with the peice above titled "Hunter" my mind wanders around the characters and comes up with stories about those two, who they are, what they are doing, why they are there. There is such a level of depth and emotion captured with in his works and with such simple lines, makes me feel almost as if I could do it especially sense he has a tutorial. Honestly I feel though that it is missing some key steps and components to it and if I were to try and replicate it... well it wouldn't look even close to half as good as his.

Mystery Artist 2

It's another nameless talent who shall be known as Mystique for she is mysterious and unique. Sorry It's way to late at night for me to be writing about anything and zzzzzzz... anyway's sorry bout all the silliness. Now Mystique is what I would call an up and coming artist, the oldest piece in her gallery is from 2006 and sense then each piece has shown improvement in coloration, anatomy and dramatic imagery. Her latest work shows nice stylization and grasp of shading and color. Ooh and here's a tasty little bite just like our last mystery artist she also has a couple tutorials up her sleeve, I would suggest checking them out [Video]. Who knows might even catch her during a live stream! Now wouldn't that be fun.

Also a diversity of fields of work I don't know about you but I can't create amazing other planetary views like the one above with spray paint, along with using pencils and being able to digitally paint. I am not that multi-talented... I'm not really even all that talented. Like several other artist out their she has her own comic strip! I first found her because of her comic I really loved the design her purple elf, a complete image of her design in the comic can be seen [here], isn't it awesome in a 'I'm more badass then you and way hotter' way.

Mystery Artist 1

It's another day so another artist, this day is a talented cartoonist who's name unfortunately I do not know. However a lack of name only adds to the mystique of their work... yah that sounds fancy. Anyway's  Regardless of knowing his name or not (lets just call him Mr. E) his talent is not diminished, with vibrant color and a unique style of coloring Mr. E is a very talented self proclaimed cartoonist with a great deal of promise and personal flair. Not only does he show several variations of his key style and create women of sumptuous form but he has also redesigned my personal favorite Disney character in a new, unique and beautiful way.

Mr. E has also been kind enough to have several lovely tutorials which are very informative and useful, they can be found at [linky] I would suggest watching them at some point especially if you admire his style. Now go and pursue his gallery and admire the beautiful wonderfully candy colored images.
