Or B. Barber according to her profile, is an exceptionally talented costumer. She creates masks, boots, gloves, wings, staffs and other elements to create some of the most stunning costume pieces I've seen available for public purchase. Although her work is not cheap it is defiantly worth it, made to order and crafted for looks as well as durability I'm shocked it took so long for me to discover her.

It seems like she can make anything, and have it seem natural! So many times I've seen people make costume pieces for mythical creatures with strangely shaped legs and it just ends up looking horrible. I don't know how but she found solutions to even the most puzzling of costuming questions. Such as with her Gargoyle feet, if you look you can see that the persons foot is actually flat on the ground allowing for easy movement and solid balance.

Another type of beautiful and amazing creations are her moth wings, made of fabric and foam they keep the feel of being moth like while being flexible and durable. With a little partnering with a fellow artist they were able to create hands free wing mechanism with programming!

I would love to someday order costume parts from her for the LARP I play at, I would certainly have the best costuming there for the none human (and non elves) there... or anywhere for a long ways. Her commission statues is posted on her deviant profile, though for more details about commissioning her visit her livejournal. But to top it all off, she is also a talented illustrator.

Genzoman

Another week another artist, I'm thinking about trying to write a post a week and then slowly working my way up to one a day as I'm not very good with sticking to it right now. But that is neither here nor there, what is here right now though is none other then Genzoman himself! I've been watching him for a while now and he comes out with new stuff all the time, a substantial part of it is of fandoms that I enjoy.

However after seeing piece after piece of new art I have to admit they are all somewhat blurring together. I feel like a lot of it is the same composition with the same colors with the same style. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it gets sort of dull. I feel like I've seen all of his art at this point even if something is "new" because they all sort of look the same. Maybe it's how he color his pieces of work? I've found that also help with all the different pieces blending together.

Don't get me wrong he is still an exceptionally talented artists who is defiantly worth checking out, this is just my humble opinion. One thing I really like about his work is his pull of inspiration from mythology and folklore of the obscure nature. Nearly every piece has a story or paragraph describing the historical tale of what is depicted, not only do you get to look at pretty art but learn some ancient legends to!

Body paint "One of humanity’s oldest forms of visual expression". Unfortunately I can't link you to the talented artists or company that produces these beautiful images as I am not sure who they are. All I can do is show you the facebook page where I found them. I have been a fan of body painting for many years and it seems like every day new and beautiful expressions of the art form are posted on this page. Each is truly inspiring in it's own right and a work of are incomparable to others. Not only is the painting done well, and most of the time in great taste, but the photography is excellent and the colors stunning.

From Black light paint to fake lingerie everything seems to of been done with elegance and poise. This pages gallery is filled with beautiful piece after beautiful piece. If I were a model I certainly would love to work with them at some point.

Justing Gignac

I've been gone from here for quit a long time and for those of you who still check this (which I'm surprised at the numbers) I'm back and I plan on staying back (call it a super late new years resolution), I've been reading a lot of blogs lately and I realized that I don't have to write it this way and this way only. It's MY blog and I can write it however I feel like and include in it whatever  I deem should be included. But for now this is all irrelevant, the meat of this post is about an artist with an interesting way of selling garbage to the world.

Justing Gignac

I don't know how he did it, or where the idea ever came from. He makes substantial profit by rooting through New York Cities garbage, packaging it in smell proof boxes and selling it for $50 all over the world to hundreds of eager shoppers. I discovered this phenomenon from The Nester which is a home design blog I recently discovered. She was doing a series of Lovely Limitations speaking of how you can take "garbage" and turn it into something beautiful and unique. I think Justing did just that.

Well so much for my attempt at writing everyday, oh well you win some you lose some. At the very least you know I'm trying! Moving on, todays artist is the talented Qinni who's work stretches the imagination and holds infinite folds of inspiration. I find her work to be most pleasant not only in it's detail and abstract feelings but also in it's vibrancy and emotion. As it stands I have nearly all of her work saved so as to cycle every few minutes as my computers background! Might I suggest the same for you?

Well regardless of weather or not you take me up on the brilliant idea of looking at her work every day you can not deny the level of depth that can be found in her work. I know everyone interprets art differently and none of them may be what the artist was aiming for. To me her piece with the cat and the koi fish (I think it's a koi?) relates how cats have nine lives and how such time that can be found in a life can not be caught like some creature of prey but understood and appreciated and cherished in ones own mind.

P.S. Might I encourage you to view her work in it's largest form, there are many hidden details that are hard to see at this size. (Such as strawberry clouds)

Mike Van Daal

Well this post is a long time coming, I know it's been a while sense my last couple posts and I'm sure a lot of you have given up that I will ever post again. I haven't quite, just been very overwhelmed. I'm taking 22 credit hours this semester for school and as a result I'm tired all the time and over worked between school and work. But it's almost over and I now have time to do what I want to do and not what my schedule dictates I do, and one of those things is this blog.

Todays post is about someone who is an exquisite artist and who I someday hope to order from. His name is Mike Van Daal and he is an artist in silicone and latex. Mike creates custom swimmable mermaid tails, and he is one of the best. In my opinion he must be one of the best. Not only are his tails stunningly realistic but they are of the highest quality and of good price. He not only makes tails but he also makes tops, like this beautiful shell bra. Looks real right? Like it's real shells, it's not. The shells are made out of soft silicone and are completely squishible. Isn't that spiffy? I love it!

The above bra and the bellow tail were custom made for the beautiful Mermaid Melissa who is a professional mermaid. Someday I want to be like her, I'll have a tail and swim around with dolphins and whales and sharks. She will probably be featured later at some point because of her beautiful performances. If you want to read reviews of Mike Van Daal I would suggest looking over at Mer.Yuku, it's also a great resource for an entire mermaid community.

Well this post is for all you crafty people out there, especially those of you involved in Steam punk society. Hopefully everyone here knows what that is? Any one? Any one? Well just incase you don't know I shall let Richard Castle explain with all the elegance I love him for, Steampunk is "a subculture that embraces the simplicity and romance of the past and at the same time couples it with the hope and promise and sheer supercoolness of futuristic design.A perfect description I might say of a wonderful sub-culture, ah if only I had the money to buy the garb and gear I wanted for it.... Oh well being broke comes with being a college student I hear. Anyway now that you know what Steampunk is it is time to show you the craftiness of this amazing artist!

Have you ever tried jewelry making? I did a couple times, all I could manage was putting beads on strings and making them look pretty with a few dangly things. Nothing amazing complicated or difficult, but his work is just... wow. I mean what else is there to say? I don't have any idea what else to say or how else to say it. Each piece is so small and delicate with such fine craftsmanship and attention to detail. These are model pieces of the style for jewelry and for sculptures. Although many of the rings look similar in design and coloration each one is uniquely different as the maker intended and has it's own feel and personality to go with it. Honestly I'm a little confused as to how he can make such small things so delicate and intricate, I would love to have a chance to sit down and watch him work. I'm certain it would be inspiring and educational. But this talented artisan does not limit himself to jewelry making, oh no he explores other areas of self expression as well. Experimenting in photography (with some lovely images I might add), traditional medias as well as having a few design and interface pieces in his gallery.

Ein Lee

I'm sorry dear art lovers that I haven't updated in forever, also that in my last few posts there was only the images and no words or explanations or meaning rabble like this current sentence. Honestly I'm shocked at how many people still visited the site even though it was static for such a long time. Well have no fears for I am back and ready to work. I could go into a huge long sob story about why I couldn't update and how horrible I felt but long story short I was to dang tired to do anything other then sleep.... I've heard working to hard does that to a person. Now onto the next great artist!

Incase you weren't already able to tell from the giant link at the top of the page today's lovely artist is Ein Lee. I love find their work very inspiring for me and hopefully for other people. So often I see the manga style used and abused so the art just looks like crap and sometimes I loose hope that people can actually draw in that style with out making their viewers cringe in pain. Well that is when I haven't been able to watch a good anime or read a good manga. Lee's work a beatuiful marrying of cartoon and realism, natrual leaning towards the cartoonism.

Now not only is the work beautiful with shape and style but the subjects they are about and speak to the viewer of are very powerful and full of emotion. I'm not seeing as many static emotionless dolls in this gallery as I do with so many others, the works has flickers of life and intent behind the pretty lines and rich colors. Naturally it seems to me that all manga artists love to draw fan art and Lee is no exception; with a variety of fandoms running from Avatar: The Last Airbender to The Little Mermaid, I wish more fan art was of this caliber.
