The Journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step

My name is Kendria Reise (well that's not my real name but I don't feel like that is pertinent information for just anyone on the internet to know) and I have decided to start a blog. I do not intend for this to be a themed blog with some kind of designated topic or general purpose, nor as some self-centered look into my life because I think the world will care. I am creating this as a story, a writing of my journey through life and finding who I am, and where I belong in this world. Stories, facts, fashions, rants, joys and interested shall be posted upon this blog. What ever strikes my fancy I suppose or what ever lesson or step I take towards being the woman I want to be while still staying true to myself. Lord knows that's what we are all trying to do, to be who we want to be while not being swept away by the tide of today.

I suppose if I want anyone to actually read this I should put some kind of content other then my ramblings. I guess I could start with what inspired and compelled me to start a blog, after all I didn't just wake up one morning with the brilliant (or not so brilliant) thought I should start a blog. Lately I've been doing a lot of reading from Fashion blogs. I'm not an especially fashionable person, however my boyfriend, Seelen Kamerad (again not his real name either), is an exceptionally fashion orientated person and has been helping me to remove all the junk from my closet and inspired me to do some research of my own. I did a lot of looking around and all the sites and self help pages didn't make sense to me or help the confusing puzzle known as fashion start making sense. That is until I stumbled upon a fashion blog known as Wardrobe Oxygen this site helped make sense of fashion and showed me that fashion is actually surprisingly simple if you know a few basic rules and stay true to yourself. With this in mind I have started to dress like a woman, not an exhausted college student. I never would of thought that simply looking nice before I left the house would of caused feelings of beauty, strength, energy and joy to start to grow. Such a little thing has changed my life so much I found myself finding and reading more blogs to see what other say and for more examples of how these beautiful and intelligent women put themselves together in the morning.

Well when you read enough blogs you start to think you can do it yourself and that maybe just maybe you could write something that could help and interest someone likes theirs so overwhelmingly do. I feel I have no extreme passion (like fashion, music or food) nor talent (like photography, sculpting or humor) but I feel like most people have a similar feeling and thus there should be a blog for them/us. I'm certain there are several just like this, but they are not mine and it can't hurt the world to have one more. After all everyday we get another wannabe Snooki or Parish Hilton but the world keeps spinning. And so out of my new taste for fashion was born this blog and a chronicling of my winding path through life.
